If you're like me, you love you some Spalding. Esperanza Spalding, that is. You've probably also been keeping calendar watch until Radio Music Society drops, marking off days, and nagging everyone you know about it's release. For those who've been living under a rock, crawl out, dust yourself off, and be aware that Spalding is releasing her now fourth album tomorrow. I've already been in heaven with beguiling singles like the Algebra Blessett-assisted "Black Gold" and "Cinnamon Tree" (my favorite so far), and to tantalize the urge further, Spalding has prompted "Radio Song" with a six-minute visual affair that highlights the euphoric effects music has on the human spirit as well as emphasizes Esperanza's spunk and charm. Don't think the Spalding train is stopping for a brake check, as she goes full speed ahead with a 17-city tour beginning in April, the first stop taking place in Buffalo, New York. With her lush 'fro (which is no doubt full of secrets and fun) Portland's dame of the bass keeps on cementing the fact why she rightfully deserved the Best New Artist Grammy last year. Hit the bounce to turn the dial and tune in to her video for "Radio Song" and pending tour dates.
