What's To 'Love' About Ashanti's Latest?

Former First Lady of Murder Inc. Ashanti is on the comeback trail. Now an independent artist, the "Foolish" singer has returned to airwaves and TV screens with her latest single and video, the Busta Rhymes-assisted "The Woman You Love." Though I've always had an indifference toward Ashanti and her music, after her struggle of a tribute to Whitney, I at least wanted this to not be a debacle; and it isn't. The song itself is passable, but not at all memorable. The video, on the other hand, is a bit of jumbled mess. After watching it three times, I'm still not sure of what exactly the plot is, though I know that it somehow involves a futuristic space world (complete with its own forehead braid-rocking Ashanti) and a cheating Marcus Patrick back on our planet (along with some trifling hussy delivering used pregnancy tests like that's something that's okay). Honestly, the best thing I can say about it is at least the production value of the video looks top notch. Maybe you guys might feel differently, so be my guests to take a peek below.
