Zacardi Cortez 'Had' A Little Help From John Legend & Scarface On This Song

Often heard singing with the likes of James Fortune (see "I Believe," "I Need Your Glory," and "The Blood") and John P. Kee (see "One More Time"), one of gospel music's premier rising vocalists, Zacardi Cortez, is currently in the studio preparing his debut solo album. "If God Had A Face" finds Zacardi in the midst of a completely unexpected collaboration with John Legend and fellow Houston, Texas native, Scarface. He manages to soar over a new sound with the help of Legend singing the hook and Scarface's additional verse. Zacardi's album is said to include more collaborations, including Donnie McClurkin, Kierra Sheard, and SoulBounce fave Lalah Hathaway. Look out for more Zacardi who will be featured this year on BET's annual Celebration of Gospel special, which was taped this past weekend in Los Angeles and airs on Sunday, April 1st at 8 pm.
