Lalah Hathaway brought out a few special guests this past weekend at Club Nokia in Los Angeles. After performing what had to have been an incredible set with none other than SoulBounce fave Eric Roberson as her opening act, Lalah initiated a soul-star-studded jam session with the likes of B. Slade, Kenny Lattimore, Sy Smith, Rahsaan Patterson, Erro, and Sheila E. on drums. The pure spontaneity, unity, and vocal acrobatics that ensued on this stage is almost unbelievable, covering Michael Jackson hits "Rock With You" and "P.Y.T." as well as Sade's "No Ordinary Love." As Lalah exited the stage and closed out the show, this group of undeniable talent formed a soulful choir and kept the sound going. Props to the concertgoer who caught this incredible once-in-a-lifetime moment on film.
