Algebra Goes Aerial In Atlanta

When Algebra Blessett proclaimed "I Ain't No Joke," I sincerely hope that everyone believed her. For any naysayers out there she showed and proved recently in Atlanta when she opened for Eric Roberson at Center Stage with a breathtaking segment of her performance. She gave concertgoers quite a show when she took center stage and got her Cirque du Soleil on by climbing into the air on two strips of cloth hanging from the ceiling. She then proceeded to do all sorts of twists, turns, dips and splits all while suspended in the air showing both how graceful and athletic she is. Her band played beneath her as the audience looked on in awe. This may bring to mind P!nk's performance at the GRAMMY Awards in 2010, but Algebra puts her own soul sister twist on it, and get this -- she's not even a trained gymnast. I got the scoop that this is something that she's only been taking classes to learn to do over the past year. That is impressive to say the least. Watch Algebra fly through the air with the greatest of ease below.
