'Awkward Black Girl' Returns For A New Season With A Little Help From Pharrell

Filmmaker Issa Rae's The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl took the internet by storm last year and made fans out of practically everyone who watched the hilarious antics of J and her co-workers, friends, foes and lovers. The first season of the acclaimed web series also caught the eye of Pharrell Williams who in association with his latest venture, iamOTHER, is bringing the new season of ABG to the net with a June 14th premiere date as revealed in this fresh-on-the-net trailer as seen on iamOTHER's YouTube page. In it, we see lead character J, as played by Issa Rae, alone in a room sitting on her bed with a pen and a pad while spitting a hot 16 recap of the first season's shenanigans complete with flashbacks. J's hardcore yet awkward rhymes are LOL worthy, but when Pharrell enters the room he isn't exactly amused, which makes this scene all the more funnier. With Pharrell on board and as part of the iamOTHER family, The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl is poised to do big things with this major move. We'll be tuned in!
