Is There 'Still' Room In R&B For Lenny Williams?

Although his 1978 hit "'Cause I Love You" was arguably the pinnacle of his career, soul singer Lenny Williams is still alive and kicking in the music scene. Though Twista and Kanye West pushed his name back into the mainstream back in 2004 by sampling "'Cause I Love You" for their hit "Overnight Celebrity," most still don't realize that he's never really left. In fact, his solo career has spanned some 38 years with nothing longer than a seven year gap between releases. His latest release will be the upcoming (and aptly titled) Still in the Game. To prove that he's still got it, he's dropped the album's lead single "Still." It's a true slice of old-school R&B, with its sultry groove enhanced by Lenny's ageless voice atop the track. As much as I've come to hate the overuse of the term, "Still" might just be the epitome of what "grown and sexy" music should be about. If you're digging "Still," it's available for purchase at Amazon or at Lenny's website. While you stop by there, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for more info about Still in the Game's release.
