New York City-based musician and singer Chris Rob releases his new single and music video for "Waiting For You" from his forthcoming album, Imagine. While you may not be very familiar with the name Chris Rob just yet, you may well have seen him supporting some of your faves like Eric Roberson, Laura Izibor or the legendary Roberta Flack. Having the backing of artists of this caliber means you know that whatever Rob delivers it's going to be something that personifies timeless R&B and soul, something that is pleasing to lovers of grown folks music and definitely not your usual Auto-Tuned mess. With "Waiting For You," Rob delivers just that. The track highlights his falsetto over the tinkle of the piano and a subtle groove, as he sings about his love of a certain lady. The music video stays true to that old adage of "love conquers all" as it portrays your usual relationship woes. You know how it goes -- girl and boy are happy and in love, boy has the wandering eye, girl gets mad, boy sweet talks his way out of trouble and they overcome it all to stay strong together. While I'm a sucker for a love story, the star of the video for me is the stunningly shot scenery of NYC, which blends seamlessly with Rob's soulful love letter to the object of his affection.
