It has been a while since we've heard from him, but British soul singer Lemar is back and tugging at our heartstrings with a beautiful visual for his soaring new single, "Invincible." Directed by Carly Cussen, the video opens with a beaming bride (rapper/model/producer/director Simmy "Queen Simmy" Wilson) walking along the golden beach of Camber Sands, on her way to meet her life mate, before flashing back to childhood memories of her and the cutest little boy (said to be Lemar's son) displaying their puppy love (seriously, the kids in this video are cheek-pinching adorable). To avoid giving too much away, I'll just say that the video's storyline follows the lyrics closely and stays true until the heartbreaking end. Of course, Lemar's talented self appears throughout the video, but the focus is more on the story and not so much on him.
If you live in the UK, you can pre-order the single from iTunes and the album from Amazon. If you just can't get enough of the song, head over to Facebook to hear two alternate versions. If you live in the U.S., you're just going to have to be satisfied with the video and the alternate versions for a while because there's no word on when the song or album will be released here.
