If you hadn't noticed already, a handful of us here at SBHQ have a severe musical crush on Jessie Ware, and she hasn't even released her album yet. While we wait impatiently for Devotion's August release date we have been tracking down anything Jessie-related that we can, whether it be singles, remixes or live performances. The latter category got a significant boost earlier this month after Jessie supported quirky songstress Paloma Faith at the Somerset House: Live In London series (one of which was headlined by SoulBounce favorite Jill Scott). Luckily, for those of us who couldn't attend, a few concert-goers managed to catch some pretty good footage of the set, including the as-yet-unheard "Still In Love." The track showcases Jessie's stunning vocals and her penchant for '80's grooves but sees her taking a slight (and welcome) detour, injecting more than a little funk into proceedings. If it's Jessie's updated power-balladry that you are feening for, though, hit the bounce and check out another as-yet-unheard album track, "Talking In Water." At this rate I cannot imagine Devotion not being in my top three albums of the year.
