Kendra Morris Shows Some 'Love' To A Johnny Mathis Classic

After catching my attention with her debut single and video for "Concrete Waves," it seemed that Kendra Morris dropped out of sight. Boy was I wrong. Not only has Kendra been releasing some follow up heat (like singles "Spitting Teeth" and "If You Didn't Go"), but she's also been periodically dropping covers in anticipation of her upcoming LP Banshee. The series of covers has led her through the catalogs of Chris Isaak, Pink Floyd and Metallica, each time bringing her unique alternative R&B spin to each selection. Her latest foray finds her updating music legend Johnny Mathis' "No Love (But Your Love)." Kendra's take keeps the haunting backing vocals while bringing the sound firmly into the 21st century with hard-hitting drums and ominous bass line that add a slightly unearthly feel to the track. This will likely be the last cover released as Banshee will be released to the masses on August 28th, so be sure to check it out below and grab the free download while it's available. As an added bonus, you can also get into Kendra's latest video, the soulful "If You Didn't Go," after the bounce.
