One of my favorite musical discoveries from last year wasn't actually from last year at all. Ntjam Rosie (one of the many great artists we've christened Bounce-Worthy) released her sophomore set Elle in 2010, but that doesn't make the music any less timeless. When it was announced that Ntjam Rosie would be putting out a live CD/DVD and was looking for remixes to include in the set, our friend and collaborator Applejac tossed his hat into the ring with his remix of "In Your Hands." As sick as his rework was, it unfortunately wasn't delivered in time to be included on the set. Luckily for all of us, they decided that the mix was too good not to share and are offering it as a gift to music lovers everywhere. Applejac's mix punches up the tune a bit with tropical drums and an afro house groove while still allowing Rosie's jazzy vocals and wistful lyrics to blow in like the breeze and inhabit the music. If you were looking for something that could take you from chilling by the poolside by day to shaking that thing late at night, then follow the song's command and don't let this one slip through your fingers.
