ZZ Ward Wants To Shake Her ''Lil Darlin''

Over the past few months I've heard a few tracks from blue-eyed soul singer, ZZ Ward. Rumors of her work with the legendary Pete Rock and Ali Shaheed Muhammad caught my attention initially, and her collabo with West Coast wonder Kendrick Lamar caught my ears after that, but I never fully committed to her work until now. The bluesy '''Lil Darlin'," which features assistance from Chicago's The O'My's and some gritty Blended Babies production, has the newcomer lamenting on her inability to shake an unhealthy love interest from her life. If this track is any idea of what to expect from her debut album, Til the Casket Drops, I'm all in. Stream the cut below for a sample of great things to come, and be sure to pick up Ward's project on October 16th.
