Remember that one time, when Raphael Saadiq, Dawn Robinson and Ali Shaheed Muhammad broke away from their respective collectives to form super-group Lucy Pearl, only to never release another project again? Well, I sure as hell do! And although Saadiq has gone on to release some phenomenal albums since then, I definitely could've gone for some more LP in my life. It seems like I'm not alone in missing this trio of "Formerly Of's" as Soulpersona has revisited the classic cut "Dance Tonight" from their self titled debut, Lucy Pearl. The remix is a jazzy makeover worthy of the architects' approval and definitely worth a listen for fans of the original. Stream below as we revisit a track that continues to keep us dancing.
