All Chrisette Michele Wants Is 'A Couple Of Forevers'

After the mixed bag that was the Audrey Hepburn: An Audiovisual Presentation mixtape, it looks like Chrisette Michele is ready to follow it up with her fourth studio album, Better. We have already heard the album's title track courtesy of the Motown Music Sampler Volume 1, and now she has unleashed the official first single, "A Couple Of Forevers," produced by Pop & Oak. I fell deeply, madly in love with Chrisette's voice when I first heard her debut, I Am, but I must admit that barring one or two songs and a handful of collaborations, I haven't felt her output since. However, "A Couple Of Forevers" remedies that situation. Utilizing a sample of my favorite O'Jays track "Stairway To Heaven," Chrisette sounds fantastic on this AC-friendly ballad. I had stopped checking for new material from Chrisette, but now my interest is piqued enough to check out Better when it's released this April.
