Some people a love storming guitar solo, others live for horns, but for me nothing beats an epic string arrangement. Somehow it just makes you feel the music more and tugs at those heart strings, if you will excuse the pun. So, imagine my delight when I came across this video of BBC Radio 1 DJ Benji B performing at the legendary Maida Vale Studios in London, accompanied by a 16-piece string ensemble. In the almost one-hour set, Benji and company cover tracks from Flying Lotus, Dwele, Timbaland and Drake, amongst others, but it's the closing performance of Raphael Saadiq's "Skyy, Can You Feel Me?" which embodies the whole set perfectly.
