Sidewalk Chalk Soars With 'Birds Of A Feather'

Many an improvised party that I have attended simply began by opening up a bag of chips (Doritos Nacho Cheese if you really wanted to know) and gathering around a sound system, with everyone at some point in the evening playing DJ. To me, these little impromptu get-togethers are miles better than sweating and shelling funds out at a rowdy club. Why? Simply because when it comes to the diverse musical tastes of my friends, you never know what crazy sound or new obsession is going to be pumping through the speakers, and well, learning about new music just makes everything better. Diversity joined together by music is pretty much Chi-Town octet Sidewalk Chalk's mantra, and they display it expertly on their visual for single "Birds Of A Feather." Featured on the Bounce-Worthy alum's 2012 debut album, Corner Store, the brass peppered down-tempo groove that is quite Digable Planets-esque perfectly soundtracks the scenes of the band gathering with friends in revelry as they wax about their love of music and how even in their differences, the daily beat of music always makes them flock together. Now how's that for sweet? You can just feel the love when you press play below.
