Watching This José James Performance Is No 'Trouble' At All

José James is hitting the promo circuit hard with his new album, No Beginning No End, scheduled to finally hit the streets on Tuesday, January 22nd. The album is currently being streamed on NPR Music, and it's everything and more than we expected from the exciting talent who blends jazz, soul and hip hop as effortlessly as he breathes. We've been fans for a while, but it's good to see more people getting hip to his artistry thanks to his signing to Blue Note Records. His association with the storied label has raised his profile, and we've been seeing more and more of him lately much to our delight. Earlier this week he appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman performing his single "Trouble" with a full band and horn section, which kicked the the performance up a notch. José was quite comfortable on the national stage, and you could tell that he was feeling it. David Letterman was feeling it too and quipped that he was "young, personable and ready to perform." Having met and seen José James live before, that goes without saying.
