Bilal Brings Us The 'Catch' Of The Day

The release of Bilal's new album, A Love Surreal, is so close that we can almost taste it. His longtime friend and producer Stevie McKie was kind enough to offer us an appetizer with this old unreleased gem entitled "Catch What I'm Throwing." This mighty musical hors d'oeuvre features McKie on drums, GRAMMY-award winning pianist and producer Robert Glasper on keys as well as Adam Blackstone, the man behind the band that is now accompanying Justin Timberlake during his huge return, on bass. "Let's have a candy coated celebration," Bilal growls as the song progresses and he tells the story of a steamy night on a love chase. We're grateful for the abundance of quality sounds, both old and new, coming out of this era of Bilal's musical journey. Be sure to purchase Bilal's latest album, A Love Surreal, when it is officially released on February 26th.
