Sheldon Williams' Remix Of Phonte's 'Ball And Chain' Is Anchored In R&B

The Foreign Exchange's remix collection, +FE Music: The Reworks, is mere days away from its February 26th release, and the two-disc set is going to please many an +FE fan. Hey, I've gotten an advance listen, and I'm pleased. Feel free to take my word for it, but if you need some more incentive to pull the trigger next Tuesday, then The Foreign Exchange is providing the ammo with another "leak" on their SoundCloud page. After blessing us with one of the three new songs that will be on The Reworks with the refreshing "So What if It Is," we now get to hear one of the actual reworks on the Sheldon Williams remix of "Ball and Chain" from Phonte's Charity Starts at Home. Williams retains the tempo and R&B flavor of the original but makes it extra crispy with his own synthesized soundbed and a beautiful piano solo on the outro. I'm not up on Sheldon Williams like I should be, so I see I'm going to have to awake from my slumber ASAPtually. Don't get caught sleeping either, and be sure to cop +FE Music: The Reworks to hear this gem and much, much more. [Photo: Tafari K. Stevenson-Howard]
