Theophilus London & Jesse Boykins III Give Us An 'Afternoon' Delight As Paris 96

Back in 2011, we at SoulBounce filled you in on the Theophilus London and Jesse Boykins III mixtape Paris 96. Now, a year and a half later we have the next instalment of that project as the two alternative R&B/hip hop artists join forces to use their powers for good by officially becoming a supergroup, as Paris 96. The first single from Paris 96 is "Afternoon," a mash-up of the electro, future-soul and modern styling of current R&B with hip-hop heavy bass and subtle keys. The contrasts in the production of the track mirror the differences in the two artist's styles, as Jesse's sultry vocals float over the beat while London's flow keeps it much more street friendly with his delivery. Together on this chill concoction London and JBIII unite different elements that connect and compliment each other effortlessly, just as two lovers do when exploring the topic of the track -- making love in the afternoon. Have a taste of "Afternoon" below, and grab a free download to keep your appetite wet until the duo's EP is released in April.
