Musiq Soulchild & Syleena Johnson Prepare Us For '9INE'

What do you get when you match an R&B diva with one of Philadelphia's smoothest soul crooners and leave them in the studio for nine days? Believe it or not, a reggae album. With the help of Kemar "Flava" McGregor, Musiq Soulchild and Syleena Johnson recently spent over a week together in the studio cooking up nine new songs for a duet project entitled 9INE. The album is said to contain three duet records as well as three solo songs from both of the GRAMMY-nominated singers. "We have a creative and artistic chemistry that is just undeniable. This is a no brainer for us. It's just an easy progression," Johnson said, after taking to Instagram and Twitter to announce the album. Johnson is also currently taping the second season of TV One's hit series R&B Divas and preparing to touch down in London later this month to headline two intimate shows at the Jazz Cafe. Check out a few behind the scenes clips of Musiq and Syleena creating some reggae soul magic after the bounce, and prepare yourself for 9INE, which is slated to be released on July 9th.
