Because right now, everyone and their mother is in Austin, TX for the SXSW festival, Nokia Music and Verizon Wireless have joined forces to curate a late-night concert series at the city's famed Arlyn Studios. Kicking things off on Sunday night was Solange, currently on a nationwide tour promoting her True EP. As we've come to expect, Solo delivered a solid, engaging set featuring most of the True tracks, as well as a groovier, bassier rendition of "T.O.N.Y." from her critically acclaimed sophomore set, Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams. While the 30-minute set offered few surprises to anyone familiar with her work, it very ably makes a case for doing it right the first time around. Hey, if it ain't broke...
