Even though the weekend is pretty much here, mentally I already clocked out a couple days ago (shhh, don't tell my boss). Well, not completely, but to say that I can't wait to sleep-in and basically be a bum come Saturday would be the understatement of the week. And this new soothing joint courtesy of Soulpersona is definitely not helping me overcome my workday blues. This extended remix for Yo Yo Honey's "Yo Yo" is an exercise in relaxation that would be the perfect soundtrack to a day of luxuriating with its stunning arrangement. Though the song was released on Yo Yo Honey's first and only album, Voodoo Soul, over 20 years ago, a remastered version complete with bonus remixes is due out this year. This isn't the first time that Soulpersona has worked his magic on the duo's hard-to-find album. Last August we put you on to a reworked version of Yo Yo's "Groove On." If the result is going to continue being dopeness like this, then we definitely hope this is a partnership that keeps going.
