Sid Sriram's 'Winter' Is Anything But Cold

In a short period of time, SoundCloud has become the go-to place to troll for new sounds from today's best and brightest unsigned artists. In a world when radio airplay and big budgets are usually reserved for major labels, the music streaming site has leveled the playing field for indie artists and labels to go it on their own. Enter Sid Sriram, one of the latest artists to use the platform to deliver his music to the world. The recent Berklee College of Music grad just released his official debut single "Winter Mind" via the site and what an introduction it is. Sriram's voice flows like hot butter over this sweeping track that's co-produced by the Cali-based crooner and AJ Singh. Fueled by a thumping drum track and some Isley Brothers-esque guitar riffs, "Winter Mind" is a strong testament to the talent that no longer has to rely on big label exposure to get their music to the masses. The song is the first single taken from his upcoming project, West Coast Night Fall Pt. 1: Before Dusk, due out April 17th via DJBooth.net.
