'Clean The House' With Fat Freddy's Drop

June is shaping up to be quite a month in terms of new music releases. Albums are due from Disclosure, Eric Lau and Quadron, and now we can add Fat Freddy's Drop to that list. The seven-piece outfit have been hard at work on Blackbird for several years, writing and re-writing tracks as they perfect them while out on tour. We have already heard the project's lead single, "Silver & Gold," and got a taste of another album track, "Mother Mother," and now we have a preview of a third track, "Clean The House." True to form the track is a smooth dub/reggae-influenced groove, complete with Joe Dukie's understated, yet insanely soulful vocals. However, it's the track's video which is the real highlight. Directed by Mark Williams, the visuals show what can happen when a puppet's poker game gets out of hand, ending in a fast-paced car chase and shoot out. The video also features hand-crafted marionettes of all seven members of FFD, which were made and controlled by Master Puppeteer Jon Coddington. Blackbird will be released June 24th.
