Given all of the wet and rainy weather of late on the East Coast, it's no surprise that Philly-native and sultry soul singer Bilal brought blues and moisture to his recent performance of "Astray," off his A Love Surreal, at Fulton 55 in California. Bilal always looks like his essence is being tapped when he sings, which makes for a captivating show. This live version of the song has a trance-like vibe tinged with reggae licks. Mr. Oliver's tantalizing growl towards the end is enough to set hearts and bodies aflame even on the dampest of days.
