Electric Wire Hustle literally exploded onto the soul scene with their self-titled debut album back in 2010, but since then fans have been left in limbo, wondering when/if we will get a follow up. The wait is somewhat understandable, as various members of the group (Mara TK, Benny Tones) have been busy on other projects, and early last year we brought you news that EWH drummer Myele Manzanza would also be releasing a solo LP, entitled ONE. From what I can gather (thank you Google) the album has already been released in his native New Zealand but will get a worldwide release via BBE Records this September. In support of that impending release Myele has released a video for the track "On The Move," which features fellow Kiwi and one half of Funkommunity, Rachel Fraser on vocals. The track is, as you would expect, a driving slice of soulful hip hop, with Fraser's naturally flowing vocals providing a nice contrast to Manzanza's drums. In related news, Myele is no longer a member of EWH, having recently left the band after six years to concentrate on his solo material. So yeah, I wouldn't hold your breath on a new EWH album anytime soon.
