To say we are itching to get our hands on Electric Wire Hustle's sophomore set, BlackWater/Love Can Prevail, would be a huge understatement. The New Zealanders blew our collective minds with the hip-hop infused soul of their debut, and while we still don't know when the new album is set to drop -- although apparently it will be this year -- the band have given us a taster of what to expect in the form of this live rehearsal video of them performing one of the album's title cuts. "BlackWater" is a bluesy lament that switches out the hip-hop beats in favor of electric guitar, some lo-fi electronics and, of course, Mara TK's striking vocal. "BlackWater" sounds quite different from what we have heard from EWH in the past, however we are confident that we'll have another modern classic on our hands when the album does eventually get released.
