Minnie Riperton seems to be going through a bit of a renaissance of late. Artists are looking to her catalogue for covers, remixes or samples, and I'm losing count of the number of times one of her tracks has shown up on a televised singing competition in the last couple of years. Mysterious UK production duo Magic Eye, are jumping on that bandwagon with their debut single, released via esteemed House label Strictly Rhythm. The pair have chosen to re-imagine Minnie's "Inside My Love" as a deep house number, full of pulsating percussion and warming electronic flourishes, resulting in a track that is equal parts dance floor filler and laid-back wonder.
