Terrace Martin & Kendrick Lamar Get Complicated With 'Triangleship'

Terrace Martin's highly anticipated 3ChordFold drops tomorrow, but that doesn't mean he's above giving us one more taste of what to expect before we can scoop it up. The project's latest leak "Triangleship" finds Terrace reteaming with frequent collaborator Kendrick Lamar for a soulful, jazzy number that uses a bit of geometry to explain just how complicated a love triangle can get. Like he did for J. Cole's "Forbidden Fruit," Kendrick simply provides the chorus here in his sing-song style while Terrace spits during the verses. The track shows off Terrace's well-known producing prowess with a laid-back beat that bridges the gap between R&B effortlessly and even weaves a bit of Bobby Caldwell's "What You Won't Do For Love" into the mix for good measure. From the leaks that've been heard thus far, I think it's safe to say that 3ChordFold will definitely work its way into the musical rotation around SBHQ. Press play to caught up in Terrace and Kendrick's mathematics and be sure to pre-order 3ChordFold right now via iTunes.
