Those Janelle Monáe fandroids who were wise enough to pick up the bonus edition of The Electric Lady from Target have been jamming to four extra songs not present on the standard edition. One of those tracks is a remix to "Electric Lady" that adds more Southern fried hip hop into Janelle's electro-sophisti-funky gumbo. Solange is still in the mix on background vocals, but the featured artists here are her Atlanta homeboys CeeLo Green and Big Boi who flow in perfectly after Janelle's verse. This isn't a remix so much as it is an extended hip-hop version with a little go-go bounce on the backbeat. This version of "Electric Lady" is the best of all worlds.
