Labor Day may have signaled the symbolic end of summer here in the States, but I'm hanging on to these last few weeks until the official end and the sunshine, warm temperatures and inherent frolicking that ensues like my life depended on it. Keeping me going in my quest is all this "summery"-sounding music that's being released and keeping my iPod and me very happy. Andy Allo has definitely brought a smile to my face with another track from her UnFresh remix project. This remix of "Hooked" comes to us by way of Honestnotes out of Brooklyn, NYC, and it bring a little house sensibility to the sweetness of the original. We first got wind of the remix collection when she dropped the "UnFresh (Vanjus Remix)" in March with word that UnFresh Remix'd would soon follow. That project may or may not still be coming, but in the between time Allo has treated fans to the UnFresh Summer of Remixes all season long on her SoundCloud page. If you've missed any, then there's no better time than the present to play catch-up (especially with many available as freebies) and prepare to enjoy these summer sounds all year round.
