Jade De LaFleur Has Us 'Jaded'

You might know sultry songstress Jade De LaFleur as simply Jade (not to be confused with the '90s girl group of the same name), but after a name expansion, she's serving us a dish of slightly chilled R&B that's heavy with mood. Take the clip for her sobering track "Jaded." The 1940s-era visuals find Jade suffocating in her solitude as she longs for moments with a husband that seems to only be home in fleeting moments. The beautifully shot visuals are rather simple, choosing to focus mostly on a solitary Jade in various rooms in her house as she wilts from loneliness. It's a perfect companion to the song, with its stark production that seems almost haunted as it uses quiet percussion and eerie synths to convey the turmoil that Jade is feeling. If you're taken with what Jade offers here, then feel free to sample more on her SoundCloud page and look for her Jaded EP to drop later this month.
