Justin Timberlake Comes Back 'Around' On 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show'

Although under the weather, Justin Timberlake was not one to let mere sniffles and a runny nose get in the way of stopping by the The Ellen DeGeneres Show to promote the release of the second installment of his 20/20 Experience project. He also scoffed at his silly cold by performing three numbers, one of the best being a stripped down reading of FutureSex/LoveSounds' hit single "What Goes Around." I'm in agreement with Ellen on this being one my favorite Timberlake songs and hearing it all nice and acoustic proves the point that when Timberlake lounges out and doesn't overstay his welcome, he can charm like no other. Same can't be said for 20/20's second chapter, which is just as bloated as the first installment, save for a few passable standouts on it (notably "Not A Bad Thing," "Give Me What I Don't Know (I Want)" and bonus track "Blindness"). So if you really hate his new single "TKO" -- which I do with a fiery passion -- and wish that FutureSex/LoveSounds Timberlake would've come back instead, then this performance will have you breathe a sigh of relief.
