It's Past 'Time' For You To Hear This New Gladys Knight

Can we pause for a minute and discuss how a legend like Gladys Knight released a new album in June and we're just catching wind of it? If it wasn't for the good folks over at Soul Tracks, we would still be completely unaware. Nonetheless, the supreme alto vocalist released Another Journey earlier this year, and we are certainly here for it. The album finds Knight revisiting a few familiar tunes like Lee Ann Womack's "I Hope You Dance" and Ben E. King's "I Who Have Nothing," which gets a bit of an urban facelift, while also introducing new tunes that perfectly embody who she has been to us all over the span of her career. "All In Due Time" is a perfect example. It is a sweet and simple ballad where Knight breaks it down as only she can. "It's about being ready when your time comes around and it will," she sings effortlessly. There's not much more to say, other than let's quickly make our way to iTunes or Amazon to show our love and support to Auntie Gladys and her latest work.
