'Overdose' On More Raleigh Ritchie

We were first introduced to Brit newcomer Raleigh Ritchie over the summer with his hypnotic tune "Stay Inside." Since then, he's dropped his three-song EP The Middle Child and made a few waves across the pond. Apparently not one to waste time, Ritchie returns with some new new in the form of his latest single "Overdose." Produced by Sounwave (aka the guy behind Kendrick Lamar's infectious jam "B*tch, Don't Kill My Vibe"), the track finds Raleigh waxing about whether it's best that he and his girl call it quits (in the "nicest way"). However, their relationship seems to be the one thing that both of them just can't quit, hence the song's title. Raleigh still keeps it interesting vocally here, with a talk singing that's reminiscent of someone like Drake but with obviously better vocal abilities -- Raleigh's use of falsetto and the harmonies on the song's bridge are clear examples of that. Of course, Sounwave's drowsy, slightly stuttering production here makes everything we're hearing here just that much better. "Overdose" is the first from Raleigh's upcoming Black and Blue EP, which should be up for pre-order soon. Until we get exact dates, enjoy the track below.
