'Tis the season for Christmas music, and it seems to be coming from all directions this year. While we were hoping to be listening to their duets album Love, Marriage & Divorce this holiday season, Toni Braxton and Babyface have decided to give us a special gift to tide us over until the album's new February 4th release date with "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas." While they're not the first to take on the yuletide standard this holiday season (how you doin' Mary J.?) the twosome bring a little something new with their take. Performing the track as two former lovers sharing an awkward phone call to wish each other a happy holiday. Tapping into the song's innate melancholy, the twosome add a bit of depth to the usual shiny happy veneer that most bring to their interpretations. While this seems to be a one-off track and (thank God) not the first single from yet another Christmas album, Toni and Babyface will be performing the classic at LA's The Grove for the tree-lighting ceremony this Sunday.
