With the announcement of his signing to Gilles Peterson's Brownswood Recordings and the subsequent release of his Offering for Anxious in December, Diggs Duke ended last year on a very high note. And it looks like the high notes will keep on coming from his direction as he's recently dropped the three-song set Right Side Up: Clarinet Music. The set finds Diggs offering more of his jazz chops, with his vocals only appearing on one track, "Long Lost," and even then sparingly. Not that we're complaining, though, because Diggs (who composed all the songs, plays all instruments and even designed the project's cover art) provides us with beautiful jazz that harkens back to the genre's golden age. Right Side Up: Clarinet Music is available right now via Diggs' Bandcamp page for the low price of $1 per track or $3 for the entire set.
