To celebrate our relaunch (which we around SBHQ have dubbed SoulBounce Remixed) and show our appreciation to our loyal readers, we've been premiering exclusive remixes from some of our favorite DJ and producer friends. You've already heard Brandon Williams' mellow-smooth take on Janelle Monáe's "Tightrope" and OhsoKool's blend of Jhené Aiko's "The Worst" and the Art of Noise's "Moments in Love," and today we bring you the last in the series (at least for now). Applejac has been a friend of the site for quite some time, so it was only natural that he'd lace us with some hotness to help us celebrate. And lace us he did with his never-before-heard remix of the ever-soulful YahZarah's sultry "Change Your Mind" that he sent to us directly from his vault.
His take, which we've dubbed "Applejac's SoulBounce House Mix," bumps up the groove's BPM, adds a throbbing bass line and invites some congas to the party for an all out dance floor burner. As YahZarah sings about how her feminine wiles can change even the most faithful man's mind, Applejac has provided her with the necessary heat to back up that claim. Word on the street is that YahZarah is hard at work on some new material. Until the fruits of that labor are made public, shake your body on down to Applejac's update of "Change Your Mind" and grab a free download on us. Oh, and be sure to keep your eyes glued to SoulBounce, as we're bringing you a little sumthin' sumthin' that's sure to put you in the mix.
