Having just revealed the official cover, tracklist and release date for her upcoming album F.O.O.D., Kelis has us anxious to hear what she's been cooking up in the studio. Our first taste of the project, lead single "Jerk Ribs," was so good that we don't mind seconds and acclaimed producer Mount Kimbie is more than happy to oblige. He strips the track of its soulful, slightly Afrobeat-inspired sound and marinates it in an atmospheric digital haze that gives the track an entirely new flavor altogether. This well-seasoned approach to the remix is sure to bring a few more ears to the song, though the electronic sound might not be for everybody.
