'You' Will Want To Hear Freeze-Tag 'Do' His Thing

Midwestern music man Freeze-Tag (aka Marcus Allen Ward) gave off a lasting impression when he iced over the summer heat with his chilled Eskimo EP last year, and now he's back at giving us the cool-down with his latest single, "You Do." Adopting similar sound themes as the tracks heard on Eskimo, "You Do" twinkles and gleams with electro-R&B vibes that orbit around jazz-minded Fender Rhodes and an '80s-influenced guitar solo to complete the galactic sound bed. A different kind of romantic profession it is, as nearing the end it dips off into a niche of skittish vocal effects that then taper off into a retrograde (last space reference, I promise) of slow motion by the end. As the first single from his upcoming-full-length LP, the curiously titled Last Night I Grew Tentacles, "You Do" blasts off the project to a great start (sorry, couldn't resist one more reference).
