Earlier this month SOHN dropped the audio and visuals for "Artifice," the official lead single for his upcoming debut album, Tremors. We were already fans thanks to his work with Kwabs, Banks and Disclosure, but "Artifice" showed that SOHN has no need for guest vocalists when it comes to his solo material, instead relying on his own soulful-yet-subdued vocals. Some of you may already be familiar with his voice thanks to earlier releases such as "Lessons" and "Bloodflows" (both of which appear on Tremors), but, for us at least, it was our first introduction and one that had us eager to hear more. Well thanks to the wonder that is YouTube we can do that now as SOHN posted a live, unplugged performance of the LP's emotional opening track, "Tempest." Filmed at Vienna's Casino Baumgarten the video sees SOHN, accompanied by a grand piano and his trusty AKAI MPC, deliver a stripped back performance that gives his soul-piercing falsetto plenty of room to shine. Beautifully shot, beautifully played and beautifully sung, "Tempest" has us 100% sold on his upcoming debut.
