Track 7: “Gust of Wind” (feat. Daft Punk)
D-Money: I must say, when Pharrell and the robots get together, it’s almost guaranteed a jam will come out of it.
Butta: Now this is more like it. The groove, the strings, the handclaps...just everything...comes together. I don’t even mind the distorted robot voice.
D-Money: I actually think that added to the appeal. If you feature Daft Punk, you can’t not have robotic vocals.
Butta: This song makes me want to twirl on a table at Studio 54 in a headband, flowy dress and legwarmers.
D-Money: Yeah, it’s got that kinda feel. Like you need to get ‘80s Billy Dee Williams sharp and hit the town in your Cadillac with this as your soundtrack.
Butta: This song sparkles like sequins on New Year’s Eve.
Butta: Oh, I bought a new sequined jacket that would go lovely with this song! Let me go put it on right quick. It’s my third one, though; I might have a problem.
D-Money: With this joint playing, there are no problems.
