Tank Shines On 'You're My Star'

After garnering his most recent GRAMMY nomination with his TGT brethren for their successful Three Kings album, Tank isn't resting on his laurels. It appears as if the R&B crooner is striking while the iron is hot and trying to get some more award nominations of his own after listening to his new single, "You're My Star." The track is a departure for the soulful singer, with an uptempo groove reminiscent of The Jacksons' "This Place Hotel" featuring a killer horn section and handclaps throughout. The sound may be different, but one thing that remains in tact are Tank's vocals, which sound better than ever as he flexes his range. We're used to hearing Tank mostly make music for bumping and grinding, so it's good to hear something different and fresh from him.  It's too soon to tell if "You're My Star" is indicative of what's to come on Tank's sixth studio album, Stronger, to be released later this year, but we're definitely checking for him again.
