DJ Destroyer Takes Us Back With This ‘Rick James & Friends Tribute’ Mix

If you'd much rather hear Rick James sing than hear Keyshia Cole sing about "Rick James," then this mix is for you. LA's DJ Destroyer leads us on this hip trip down memory lane with his Rick James & Friends Tribute mix that is all that and a bottle of jheri curl activator.

This was a live mix that Destroyer did last month when he was the special guest DJ at one of the Devil's Pie weekly soul night parties at Wolf & Crane Bar in Little Tokyo. Resident DJs Phatrick and Seano shared the turntables with DJ Destroyer who paid tribute to Rick James in the funkiest way possible and mixed in some Teena Marie, Mary Jane Girls, Eddie Murphy, Smokey Robinson and more for good measure. This mix is a non-stop funk party, so have some body rolls ready.

Cop this free download and more from Devil's Pie's weekly parties on their SoundCloud spot, and for more hotness from DJ Destroyer hit up his Podomatic page.
