While we are definitely looking forward to summer, especially those of us on the East Coast, we've just gained two new reasons to anticipate the coming fall as well. Why, you may ask? Because two of our favorite artists here at SBHQ recently announced that they have new material in the works that they'll debut during autumn.
First up is Sol-Angel herself, Solange Knowles. While hosting a fan Q&A on Twitter, she spilled the beans on her upcoming third project. While there is still no title, she revealed that she's currently recording and whittling down from 25 songs that she's written for an album, which she expects to hit shelves in "early fall."
Things are a bit more definite for Lenny Kravitz. The soulful rocker is preparing to release his tenth album, Strut, this coming September. The venture will be his first under his very own Roxie Records imprint, which he's forming via a deal with Kobalt Records. In previous interviews, Lenny has said that the album would be "deconstructed, very minimal" and "raw." With his track record for quality, we're should that it'll be quite the ride.
So, though summer's not here yet, does this news have any of you ready for the crisp days of fall?
