Sorceress Casts A Spell With 'Teacups'

If the group above looks a wee bit familiar to you, note that I haven't made a typo. The New Zealand quintet formerly known as Funkommunity, who back in 2012 released the divine Chequered Thoughts project, have rebranded themselves as Sorceress. Ooh, nice. While the name may have changed, the players and the groove are pretty much the same, as the group continue to blend some of the smoothest kiwi soul around. Case in point their latest single, "Teacups," off of their forthcoming album, Dose, is about as rich and savory as the liquid inside a cuppa, fragrant with flourishes of horns, glimmers of guitars and all of it hugged around Rachel Fraser's serene vocals. What's even better is that they are offering this spacious soulful brew for absolutely nothing at all, so go and get your free download on, and take several sips of this.
