After casting her spell over us last year with her debut album Sing to the Moon, Laura Mvula is back to work her musical magic with an orchestral rerecording of the album. Recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London, Mvula enlisted the 52-member Dutch Metropole Orkest to assist her on the project. The project was made possible by Bowers & Wilkins Society of Sound, which enables artists to record albums that would otherwise not exist.

A longtime dream for Mvula, the album was recorded over two days back in March using Bowers & Wilkins 800 Series Diamond speakers. "I never imagined I would be in a position where I could have an orchestra play my music. It's totally overwhelming for me because it's what I imagined, but more," she gushed about the project. For the time being, the album is only available for download to Society of Sound members; however the album is rumored to be released commercially later this summer through the Sony RCA Victor imprint. In the meantime, hit the watch Mvula talk about making her dream come true with the album right here.
