Robin Thicke's pity party on wax Paula is set to hit stores next week, but before it does, he's letting us hear more of his desperate plea for attention Paula Patton's affections. The latest begging session comes in the minute-and-a-half snippet of a new song, the slightly gospel influenced "Lock the Door." While we don't get to the actual meat of the song in the short clip, we do get some interesting tidbits. The song is introduced by a chorus of female singers harmonizing over a simple piano melody before a gruff-voiced Robin takes over on the verses. He sings of a girl who knew love, though love didn't know her, eventually breaking her heart. But now that she's locked her heart to love, she's smiling and heartbreak free. Near the end of the snippet, the female chorus returns, only this time they seem to be speaking for Paula. "I kept trying to tell you you were pushing me too far/Kept trying to warn you were slowly breaking my heart," they admonish as a pained Thicke repeats, "She locked the door," over and over.

While not the most original concept, it is an intriguing one, especially since it seems that Thicke will definitely be revealing some intimate details about the dissolution of his nine-year-marriage to the actress. Seeing as this snippet is so short and Paula isn't released until Tuesday, though, we guess the general public will just have to wait to see how much he reveals.

Take a listen to the snippet now and, if you're so inclined, you can pre-order the Target exclusive deluxe edition of Paula, which includes three additional chances to hear Thicke begging like Keith Sweat, here.
